What is Reality Shifting?

What is reality shifting? Reality shifting is a concept that's been gaining traction on social media platforms like TikTok and Tumblr, although it has been around for many years before its population on social media. At its core, reality shifting is a form of visualization or meditation practice that involves moving your consciousness from one "reality" to another, often with the goal of experiencing things that are not possible in your current reality (CR). Mainly following the belief of the multiverse theory of infinite realities that are connected to your soul and consciousness.

While the idea of reality shifting might seem far-fetched to some, it's worth noting that it's been investigated by organizations like the CIA. In the 1970s, the CIA was interested in the idea of remote viewing, which is a technique that involves attempting to see or experience things that are happening in a different location or time using only the power of the mind. While the CIA's research did not lead to any definitive evidence that remote viewing is possible, it did help to popularize the idea of using the mind to access information or experiences that are beyond our normal range of perception.

Reality shifting also has connections to spiritual practices around the world. Many indigenous cultures believe in the concept of "dreamtime," which is a state of consciousness where the boundaries between the physical world and the spiritual world are blurred. Similarly, some practitioners of meditation and visualization techniques believe that they can use their minds to access higher states of consciousness or connect with spiritual realms.

So, what does reality shifting actually entail? The specifics can vary depending on who you ask, but some popular techniques include the "two cup" method and the "Alice in Wonderland" method. The two-cup method involves filling two cups with water and labelling one cup with your current reality and the other cup with the reality you want to shift to. You then focus on the differences between the two realities and visualize yourself pouring the water from the current reality cup into the other cup, symbolizing the shift from one reality to another. The Alice in Wonderland method, on the other hand, involves visualizing yourself falling down a rabbit hole, much like Alice did in the famous children's book, and arriving in a different reality on the other side.

In conclusion, reality shifting is a concept that has connections to investigations by organizations like the CIA and spiritual practices around the world. If you're interested in trying it out, do your own research and make informed decisions about whether or not it's right for you. But quick advice, do not get all of your information from TikTok! 🙂
